Project Overview
St. Clare Catholic Church faced unexpected damage to their pews due to a fire incident, nearly 20 years after their initial installation. To maintain the church’s continuity and historical integrity, Ratigan-Schottler replicated the original pew design with precision, ensuring the new pews blended flawlessly with the undamaged sections.
In the early 2000’s, St. Clare Catholic Church in Roseville, California, received beautifully crafted pews for their congregation. Nearly two decades later, an isolated fire incident damaged a section of the church’s pews. Ratigan-Schottler stepped in to meticulously replicate the original pew design, crafting new pews to seamlessly match the existing ones. This restoration not only repaired the damage but also preserved the unity and aesthetic integrity of the church’s interior.
Design and Installation Details
The original pews at St. Clare Catholic Church, crafted by Ratigan-Schottler, featured a unique design that complemented the church’s architectural style. When a fire incident caused damage to a section of the pews, the affected area was carefully assessed to determine the best approach for restoration. The new pews were meticulously rebuilt using the same materials, dimensions, and finishes as the originals to ensure seamless integration. Special attention was given to matching the color, wood grain, and intricate detailing, preserving the aesthetic harmony so that the restored section was indistinguishable from the undamaged pews.
