Project Overview
We were pleased to return to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Tyler, Texas, to provide additional pews for the church’s balcony. Having previously furnished the main sanctuary, we were given the opportunity to continue our work by crafting new balcony pews designed to match the original furnishings. This project allowed us to maintain a consistent design throughout the church while providing additional seating for the congregation.
Design and Installation Details
For the balcony, we crafted our all-solid-wood PB-95 pews featuring GE-45 ends with deep face routing. The decorative routing adds depth and character to the oak pew ends, complementing the traditional appearance of the original sanctuary furnishings. By matching the existing pews, the new balcony seating maintains a cohesive look throughout the worship space.
Each pew was equipped with bookracks and our Deluxe Aluma-Kneel kneelers, providing comfort and functionality for the congregation. For the front row of the balcony, we also incorporated underseat bookracks, offering convenient storage while accommodating the unique seating arrangement.
Returning to Our Lady of Guadalupe was especially meaningful, as it gave us the opportunity to build upon our previous work and continue providing furnishings for their church. We are grateful for their continued trust in Ratigan-Schottler and for the opportunity to help create a unified worship space that will serve their congregation for years to come.
