Project Overview
We were honored to work with The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Kansas City, Missouri, on a comprehensive seating project that combined tradition, flexibility, and custom craftsmanship. The project included new pews with custom pew ends, frontal screens with matching ends, a custom-designed chair, and gangable chairs for additional seating both in the cathedral and in a worship room.
Design and Installation Details
At the heart of the project were the pews with custom pew ends, carefully crafted to provide durability and beauty while maintaining harmony with the cathedral’s historic interior. To complement these, frontal screens with matching ends were added to the front rows, ensuring both functionality and visual consistency.
We also designed and built a custom chair, tailored specifically to the cathedral’s needs and aesthetics. For side seating and additional flexibility, we provided gangable chairs, which can be linked together to create pew-like rows or separated for adaptable arrangements. These same chairs were also installed in a worship room, ensuring a unified look and consistent quality throughout the cathedral’s spaces.
Every element of the project was crafted with care to balance tradition with modern functionality, supporting both the beauty of the cathedral and the needs of its congregation.
