Project Overview
We were honored to partner with the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento, California, on a project that balanced historic reverence with thoughtful functionality. The scope of work included new pews with unique custom pew ends, frontal screens, and chairs with rush seats, all designed to enhance both the beauty and organization of this iconic worship space.
Design and Installation Details
The new custom pews were crafted to complement the grandeur and architectural significance of the cathedral. A standout feature of this project is the custom pew ends, which were designed to include aisle letters and row numbers. This thoughtful detail not only adds a distinctive visual element, but also improves wayfinding and seating organization for large liturgies and special services.
To enhance the front rows of the sanctuary, our team also created and installed frontal screens, adding visual balance while maintaining reverence and cohesion within the worship space. These screens blend seamlessly with the pew design, reinforcing a unified aesthetic throughout the nave.
In addition to the fixed seating, we provided chairs with rush seats, offering a classic and time-honored seating option that brings warmth and texture to the space. These chairs complement the pews beautifully while providing flexible seating for various liturgical needs.
Throughout the project, our team worked carefully to respect the cathedral’s schedule and sacred environment, ensuring a smooth installation process with minimal disruption.
