Project Overview
We were honored to partner with The University of Texas at Dallas on a chapel furnishing project that brought together timeless craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Located in Richardson, the project included custom radius pews, matching frontal screens, wooden kneelers, and handcrafted ladderback chairs—creating a warm and welcoming space for worship and reflection.
Design and Installation Details
The chapel features custom white oak radius pews with open ends, designed to follow the natural flow of the worship space while providing comfortable seating and excellent sightlines. The gentle curve of the pews helps create a more intimate environment, drawing attention toward the front of the chapel and fostering a sense of community.
To complement the pews, we crafted matching frontal screens that carry the same design language throughout the sanctuary. Wooden kneelers were incorporated into the seating, providing a durable and traditional solution that blends seamlessly with the natural beauty of the white oak.
The project was completed with handcrafted ladderback chairs, offering flexible seating while maintaining a cohesive appearance alongside the pews and other furnishings. Together, these elements create a chapel that is both functional and inviting, reflecting the timeless appeal of solid wood craftsmanship.
