Project Overview
St. Peter Catholic Church in Madison, Wisconsin recently completed a sanctuary upgrade designed to enhance both comfort and tradition. The project included the installation of new open-ended pews with upholstered seats as well as a selection of chairs that can be ganged together to resemble a pew. These updates provide the congregation with a refreshed worship space that balances timeless style with modern functionality.
Design and Installation Details
The open-ended pew design was chosen to give the sanctuary a more open and welcoming appearance while preserving the strength and reverence of traditional pews. Each pew was crafted with upholstered seats, offering extra comfort during worship while keeping the classic wood design intact.
To allow for flexible seating arrangements, gangable chairs were also added. These chairs can be linked together to form pew-like rows, making it easy for the parish to adjust seating for services, celebrations, and community gatherings without sacrificing a cohesive look.
Our team worked closely with parish leadership to ensure the project was carried out smoothly, with careful attention to detail and minimal disruption to worship.
