Project Overview
There’s something especially rewarding about returning to a church years after the original installation. We recently had the pleasure of revisiting First Baptist Church, where we originally furnished the sanctuary in 1995. More than three decades later, we were honored to help refresh the space by manufacturing and installing new pew cushions, giving the sanctuary an updated look while preserving the quality craftsmanship of the original furnishings.
Design and Installation Details
When we first partnered with the church in 1995, we crafted custom pews, frontal screens, and kneelers designed to serve the congregation for generations. The pews featured our CE-9 pew ends with an engraved cross on each side, adding a timeless detail that continues to complement the sanctuary today.
Rather than replacing the existing pews, the church chose to update the upholstery with new custom cushions featuring a refreshed fabric color. Because the original pews were built to last, this update allowed the congregation to modernize the appearance of the sanctuary while preserving the solid craftsmanship and character of the original installation.
Projects like this are especially meaningful to our team. It’s always rewarding to return to a previous project and see our furniture continuing to serve a congregation decades later. Being trusted once again to help refresh the space is a testament to the relationships we’ve built and the lasting quality of our work.
